Opera Mini 4 Beta 2 – Review

Posted by: lolfang In: Software

Well, a little review.

I expected something like the previous beta, but I was surprised. It wasn’t that bad. First, I really like the Landscape Mode (in this mode, you have to tilt your phone for browsing). They also fixed the font problem from the previous beta, now more text is included in the screen.
Drawbacks? It’s quite slower than Opera Mini 3. It’s almost unusable on my phone (Motorola V191). I frankly don’t like that… Only the “fit-to-width” mode is usable.

Anyways, I’ll wait for the final version. In the meanwhile, I’ll keep using Opera Mini 3.1.

Me too I can’t migrate OM 3.1 (because it’s fast RTL…) but to be frank the last version of OM beta 2 is not bad, a lot of bugs were fixed :)
some new bugs appeared but it’s good and when OM beta will support RTL languages I will migrate OM 3.1

Ah, RTF support… lately, RTF support has been expanded a lot in web applications. Since I don’t use it, I always forget about things like that.
I’m sure they’ll include support for that.
